Cattelan & Ferrari – ZEITmagazin features new column

Starting on December 30th (edition 1/2016), ZEITmagazin will feature a new column. As of now, the two Italian artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari will produce one photograph exclusively for each week’s issue of ZEITmagazin.

Maurizio Cattelan is one of the most influential Italian artists and since 2009 he and the photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari have been working together. The duo founded the magazine “Toiletpaper”, which is issued twice a year. In their photographs, which have been published on the covers of “Dazed”, “Wallpaper” and „New York Times – T magazine“, Cattelan and Ferrari combine the imagery of advertisement with the spirit of surrealist art. The in this way emerged pictures are just as surprising as they are unique and instantly recognizable.

The annually alternating column in ZEITmagazin has been realized by many famous artists including the photographers Paolo Pellegrin, Brigitte Lacombe, Juergen Teller and Daniel Josefsohn as well as, until recently, the French illustrator and author Jean-Philippe Delhomme. Under the title “Pariser Tagebuch” Delhomme depicted personal everyday stories from his home city Paris.

We will gladly provide photo material associated with this press release upon request.
